Features and benefits

Versatility - 40T can be used as a primer for a variety of polar substrates and as an adhesive for many thermosetting resins (such as ureanes and DAP).

Easy to use- easy to apply by spraying, dipping, rolling or polyester felt applicator.

Quick drying- 40T contains a quick drying solvent, which helps reduce manufacturing time.

operation

Stir and mix- 40T Adhesive Used For Polyurethane Elastomer does not need to be mixed before use. If dilution is required, please use 40T diluent or contact your distributor for advice. Before opening, mixing and emptying the container, it should be supported and grounded.

Substrate surface treatment- Remove all surface contaminants, including dust, oil, grease, water and oxidized metals or polymers. In order to ensure the best adhesion to the glass, please clean the surface before using the primer

How to surface treatment:

◆ Prepare the metal surface appropriately by completely removing oil, grease and dirt.

◆ Spray the surface with emery to make the surface roughness greater than 15 µm.

◆ For aluminum surfaces, we recommend using alumina as an abrasive.

◆ Clean the substrate again to remove dust from the sandblasting residue.

◆ Under certain circumstances, the metal part can be phosphated, galvanized, chromate conversion treatment or KTL, and then glued.

Application method- The method of use includes spraying, dipping, brushing and rolling. On a metal substrate, the dry film thickness is 8µm–25µm

In this case, the best adhesion is obtained.Fabrics and curtains need a thinner layer. It is required to be used in a well-ventilated place.

Rollers for CPU applications:

Surface treatment is particularly important for bonding. It is necessary to avoid the residue of various pollutants, which will greatly affect the bonding and cause degumming.

Sandblasting is the most commonly used surface treatment method, using quartz sand or alumina with a particle size of 200-300 microns.Iron-based metals, sandblasted to off-white to obtain the desired effect, and then solvent degreasing treatment.

Coated with glue, dried at room temperature for 1 hour, and the adhesion to the substrate can be improved by pre-cured. It can be pre-cured at 100℃ for at least 1 hour, generally 1 hour, and up to 4-8 hours to obtain the best bonding strength, adhesion rate, heat resistance and other properties. Resistant to pre-curing conditions: 100℃*48 hours; 110℃*24 hours; 120℃*15 hours; It must be carefully controlled more than 130℃. For pre-curing at a temperature of more than 130℃, 40T + 200B can be considered as the primer, and then 40T as the top coating. TPU injection molding does not have very high requirements for pre-curing, partly because the high temperature and high pressure of the injection process can re-bond 40T to the metal substrate.

Pouring, secondary vulcanization after one aging, usually 100~120℃, 16 hours.

End products include

Papermaking rubber roller, textile rubber roller

Solid tires

Casters

Daily necessities

Pipe lining and coating

Reinforced screen plate for mining

And any other application areas that require PU to be bonded to metal or plastic or other substrates.

40T can be glued or encapsulated for up to 4 months.

Storage

The storage temperature of glued parts should be less than 30°C and prevent surface pollution (such as water, oil and dust). 40T is a highly flammable material and requires storage in a ventilated, cool and dry place to prevent pollution and moisture. The product should not be opened before it is ready for use. Reseal the container when not in use.

Packaging

4L, 25L and 200L iron drums

Safe handling information
