Product Overview
TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) film is a high-performance elastomeric film synthesized from polyols and diisocyanates. It combines the elasticity of rubber with the strength and processability of plastic. TPU films are widely used in automotive interiors, protective films, footwear, medical protection, waterproof garments, and laminated glass.
Depending on the raw materials and molecular structures, TPU films are categorized into polyester-based, polyether-based, and polycaprolactone-based types.
The hardness ranges from 60 Shore A to 85 Shore D, with operating temperatures from -40 °C to 120 °C and typical thicknesses of 0.01 mm – 2 mm.
Manufacturing Process
TPU films are produced by blown extrusion, casting, or calendering processes.
Each process ensures excellent film uniformity, transparency, and physical strength.
Aliphatic TPU, with its denser molecular structure, offers superior anti-yellowing and UV resistance compared with aromatic TPU, making it ideal for outdoor and optical applications.
