BQ9535 is Polyurethane adhesive for amusement parks, mainly composed of PPG, MDI and chlorinated paraffin. It is a yellow liquid at room temperature.

These values provide general information and are not part of the product specification

Application

When BQ9535 is used to bond rubber particles, it places high demands on the application experience of the operator and the rubber particles being bonded. The bonding effect is highly dependent not only on the adhesive but also on the type of rubber particles, the amount of adhesive applied, the temperature and humidity conditions during application, and the application method. Therefore, please refer to this instruction manual before using the product and conduct a pilot test under similar on-site conditions. Application should only be carried out after satisfactory evaluation.

When used as a one-component plastic adhesive, BQ9535 cures by reacting with moisture in the air. Therefore, its curing speed is highly dependent on the temperature and humidity of the air. At 25°C and 50% relative humidity, its surface-drying time is 8-12 hours, which generally allows the topcoat to be applied 12 hours after the base layer of rubber particles has been applied. In lower temperature and humidity conditions (temperature below 20°C, relative humidity below 50%, or either of these two conditions is met), a catalyst may be added to adjust the curing speed .

Recommended ratio:

Types of rubber particles

Particles: Adhesive

2-4mm rubber particles

7:1

1-3mm rubber particles

6:1

The above recommended ratio is limited to the rubber particles selected by our company's laboratory. The physical properties of the plastic surface material, the type of rubber particles and the amount of adhesive applied are highly correlated. Customers can adjust the specific construction ratio by themselves according to the specific situation before construction and conduct a small test.

Storage

BQ9535 has a reactive chemical nature and reacts easily with moisture, forming insoluble urea compounds and releasing carbon dioxide, which can cause drum bulging and increase viscosity. Therefore, during storage, the container must be kept dry and tightly sealed.

BQ9535 should be stored at room temperature (15 -25°C) in a well-ventilated room. Storage at temperatures too low (below 0°C) can cause crystallization, so care must be taken to protect it from freezing. If crystallization occurs, it must be melted immediately. Drying in a hot air oven equipped with a drum at 70-80°C is recommended. Avoid local overheating, as the product decomposes and produces gas at temperatures exceeding 230°C. Drying in a hot air oven equipped with a drum is recommended. After drying, the contents of the drum must be thoroughly mixed .

BQ9535 should avoid prolonged storage above 50°C to prevent the formation of insoluble solids and increased viscosity. Under appropriate storage conditions, the shelf life is 9 months.
