WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EXPENSIVE FOAM AND CHEAP FOAM?

Spray polyurethane foam (SPF) is a type of polyurethane foam that is applied using a spray gun. It is a versatile insulation material that can be used for a variety of applications, such as insulation, air sealing, and moisture control.

The difference is in the ratio of more expensive and cheaper raw materials in the PU foam formulations of different manufacturers, in different amounts of expensive functional additives that affect the important properties of polyurethane foam, such as:

foam yield (volume of finished foam from one cylinder),

foam hardening speed,

adhesion of foam to various materials under various conditions (heat, cold, etc.),

foam density, cell size,

presence, number and size of shells,

primary expansion of the foam (increase in the volume of the foam after it is removed from the container and before it is completely cured),

secondary expansion of the foam (increase in the volume of the foam after it has completely cured),

no tendency of foam to shrink.
