The application of different polyurethane materials in automobile production is summarized as bellow:
1, high rebound cold molding soft bubble
High rebound cold molded soft foam has excellent resilience, low hysteresis loss, high compression load ratio, good feel, good air permeability, good self-quenching, low energy consumption during production, can be used to produce seat cushions, backrest, headrest, decorative strip.
2, hot molding and packing soft bubble
Hot-molded and filled soft foam can be used to produce seat cushions, backrests, headrests and foot pads. The high price of raw materials can be added to inorganic fillers to improve product performance and reduce costs, and molds with simple structure and low cost can be used.
3, semi-hard bubble
Semi-rigid foam can be used in the production of instrument panel fillers, door post covers, control boxes, horn seat cushions, armrests, headrests, and sunshields, because of their high density and compression strength, excellent energy absorption function, shock absorption and shock resistance.
4. Self-crusting foam
Now more common armrests, steering wheels, air spoilers, headrests, doorposts, control boxes have smooth and high density of self-crusted surface, core for low density elastic foam, most of the use of self-crusted foam.
5, microporous elastomer
Compared with rubber, the microporous elastomer has soft density, good dimensional stability, excellent wear resistance, excellent deflection resistance, and good anti-aging performance, and can be used to manufacture steering wheels, filter gaskets, seals, and shockproof pads.
6. Hard bubble
Hard bubble is now used more is the door lining, top lining, small refrigerator, imitation wood trim, muffler pad, sunshade, with light weight, high strength, good automotive stability, excellent insulation performance (is the best organic insulation material), good anti-aging performance characteristics.
7, thermoplastic elastomer
Thermoplastic elastomers can be used in shock pads, leaf spring spacers, spring coil jackets, gear units, roof covers and body components. It has high modulus, high strength, high elongation and high elasticity, excellent wear resistance, oil resistance, low temperature resistance, aging resistance. The general plastic processing method (injection molding machine) can be used to produce various products, and the waste can also be recycled.
8. Cast elastomer
The castable elastomer with large bearing capacity, high tear strength, wear resistance, oil resistance and large hardness adjustable range can be used to make dust seal, bearing sleeve, steering knuckle bushing, incisor, leaf spring lug bushing and automobile tire.
