Against the backdrop of increasingly stringent global environmental standards and the growing market demand for eco-friendly home furnishing and automotive interior materials, we have officially launched an upgraded low-VOC and low-odor silicone oil specially designed for polyurethane soft foam production. This new product solves the long-standing industry pain points of high volatile residue and strong peculiar odor caused by traditional soft foam silicone oil, achieving comprehensive upgrades in molecular formula and production technology, and delivering safer, greener and more stable auxiliary solutions for high-end soft foam manufacturing.

Conventional polyether-modified silicone oil usually features wide molecular weight distribution and residual small-molecule impurities. During high-temperature foaming and high-speed shearing processes, such products are prone to thermal decomposition and molecular chain scission, releasing volatile organic compounds and causing persistent odor in finished foam. This defect greatly restricts the application of soft foam in maternal and infant products, indoor mattresses, automotive interiors and other high-standard scenarios. To address these problems, our R&D team adopted precision molecular screening and end-capping modification technology to optimize the internal molecular structure of silicone oil. The upgraded formula effectively removes small-molecule volatile impurities, achieving ultra-low VOC emission and extremely low odor performance.

While realizing green environmental optimization, the new low-odor silicone oil retains excellent core foaming performance. It can efficiently reduce the surface tension of the PU reaction system, promote uniform bubble nucleation, and form a tough and stable interfacial film on bubble surfaces. The product balances the foaming reaction stably and effectively avoids common defects such as bubble merging, foam collapse and uneven cell structure. Finished soft foam products present delicate and uniform pores, fluffy and soft hand feel, and stable physical indicators.

In terms of environmental compliance, the new silicone oil fully complies with EU REACH, RoHS and mainstream global green material regulations, with no harmful substance precipitation during production and application. It fundamentally improves the odor residue problem of traditional foam, eliminates the need for secondary deodorization treatment, shortens the production cycle, and reduces environmental compliance costs for foam manufacturers. The product is widely applicable to memory foam, high-resilience foam, super-soft foam and various civilian-grade polyurethane soft foam materials.

This green product upgrade further improves our layout in the field of high-performance environmentally friendly PU additives. We will continue to focus on low-carbon, eco-friendly and low-odor technological innovation, and provide more sustainable auxiliary solutions for the global polyurethane soft foam industry.
