Absorbing reaction heat (heat of vaporization): Dichloromethane mainly plays the role of absorbing reaction heat in the process of polyurethane foaming, absorbing heat by vaporization, thereby adjusting the reaction temperature.
Dilution heat release: Dichloromethane can also dilute the heat released by the reaction to keep the temperature constant during the reaction.
Increasing foam elongation: The increase of dichloromethane will significantly increase the elongation of the foam, but it does not necessarily increase the tear strength of the foam. Foam that is easy to stretch does not mean that it is not easy to tear.
Effect of dichloromethane on the physical properties of foam:
Reducing the internal temperature rise: The increase of dichloromethane will reduce the internal temperature rise during the foam reaction, which is not conducive to the formation of hard segments. Therefore, adding dichloromethane will easily make the foam soft and elastic, but the rebound rate is not high.
Physical properties of foam: In the formula with a net density of 12~15, the good elasticity of the product is produced by the reasonable combination of TDI, TDI index, dichloromethane and polymer polyether (white polyether).
