1,5-glutarylisocyanate, also known as pentamethylene diisocyanate, English name: Pentamethylene Diisocyanate, referred to as PDI, CAS number: 4538-42-5.

1,5-glutarylisocyanate (PDI) is a new type of aliphatic diisocyanate. It is usually synthesized by phosgene from bio-based 1,5-glutarylenediamine (PDA). Due to its high vapor pressure, it is usually made into PDI diurea or trimer for sale. It is used in the production of polyurethane coatings and viscose.

1,5-glutarylisocyanate (pdi), also known as pentamethylene diisocyanate, belongs to a new type of aliphatic diisocyanate, its products and related derivatives have excellent properties.
1,5-glutarylisocyanate has better gloss stability and wear resistance than HDI products, can it replace HDI on a large scale?

Gansu Yinguang Juyin Chemical Co., Ltd. has the technology of synthesizing PDI by phosgene method with independent intellectual property rights. In recent years, the project team has done a lot of research work on the synthesis of PDI monomers by phosgene method. PDI has obtained qualified kilogram-level products in a small trial, and plans to build a large-scale industrial production plant of 20,000 tons/year.
